Up until a couple weeks ago, I had never thought about baby bedding, cribs and crib safety, baby feeding supplies or any of the other countless items it takes to prepare for the arrival of our future Premier League Football star, and no I have not been in a coma the last 26 years!
I’ve heard expecting couples and new parents talking about newborns and going on and on about crib safety and thread counts of baby bedding! They spew out so many facts and stats on the subject that it reminded me of one of those sports fanatics that every local bar has, who sits there all evening stating one stat after another while you think to yourself “this guy needs a life”. But here’s the shocker: Yesterday I caught myself engaging in one of these conversations with two other couples in an almost heated debate over whether the bedding I had just bought had a higher thread count than theirs! This is amazing enough, but even more remarkable is the fact that I had never met either couple before that surreal moment in the baby aisle at Mothercare.
And yet it’s only the beginning, I now realize I am only two steps away from becoming one of those nappy bag carrying, pram pushing, people carrier driving parents whose lazy Sunday afternoons spent reading the Times or sleeping at will are but a distant memory! Scary? Hell yeah! But on the other hand, I can hardly wait!
Now onto something very important, Baby Bedding. Unlike bedding for adults, there are a lot of considerations in buying baby bedding like comfort and safety, and rather than sounds like one of those know it all guys in the pub, i’ll just say give you this link to the bedding information page on Mothercare. Hope you find it as useful as i did.
